Hair care - Moroccan Oil.

I’m a convert. I have to say. When someone told me oil would make my hair healthier I ignored them. How can oil make your hair better?
But it did! You see, Moroccan Oil treats hair by smoothing the folicals, eliminating the frizz and conditioning the hair without leaving it grease-tastic. You can run it through wet hair to help with blow drying, or smooth it into dry hair for deep treatment whilst keeping it smooth and shiny. And healthy! If there’s one thing I want my hair to look it’s healthy but when you’re a ‘dirty blonde’ it’s hard. This really does the trick though.
Now, it’s expensive, but it lasts quite a while - mine has been treating my hair for almost a year and it’s only just coming to the end of the bottle. However, if you want an alternative (and cheaper) product I would swear by L’oreal Elvive extraordinary oil - this is what my hairdresser uses and I love it… to be honest, I might even swipe a bottle when my moroccan runs out…

LIPBALMS!

There are only a few lipbalms I would swear by and these are them. For the longest time I’ve been a lip balm addict. I hate having dry lips and so there is always one or two in my bag. My main balm, and my backup balm.
I’ve gone through the motions in my time - Vaseline, Nivea, Blistex, even Skittles (because they are yum, but not so practical), but they have all fallen by the wayside. Ever since I discovered these, that is.
Burt’s Bee’s is a classic but it does take some time to find the one that is right for you. With so many flavours and packages you can sometimes spend a fair bit of money just finding the one you like. I’m glad I’ve finally found MY favourite (which is the Mango one) but it’s kind of nice to try some of the others and see which taste good… and which taste awful! I’d recommend the ones in these little tubes rather than a pot because these are the most moisturising.
Now - my favourite.
This one has been a saviour to my lips. I couldn’t hack Carmex anymore after starting to have a reaction to it (is it just me, or do they change the ingredients in every batch?!) But this lipbalm is SO nourishing to your lips and the pots are quite big so they last for ever! It’s creamy, but not too greasy. It really sinks in. I once had such soar lips that I thought nothing would help and then I slathered this on and my lips were better in about 2 hours. Seriously!
The only downside I find is that it’s hard to find. They have it in different packages - the stick and the squeezy tube, but nothing beats this pot - and for a fraction of the price of Burt’s Bee’s it really is my go-to for lip care!

This is just one of those things I think most people would find really useful! The Garnier Pure Active Exfo-Brusher wash.

I bought it because I’ve been having problems with my skin of late. I normally find my skin is quite low maintainence but not right now, and this product is helping me regain my skin confidence!

With its soft bristles and foamy soap, I find this really helps dig in deep to help clean pores, fighting blemishes and blackheads. It’s a doddle to use and it’s not messy like some foaming face washes can be (Hello? Soap everywhere!) which is great and it kind of has an almost minty fresh feeling to it. I know when I’ve been using it it has been making my skin feel much better.

I wouldn’t recommend using it every day - scrubbing every day can be damaging - but using it every other day seems to do the trick. I’ll be talking about another product I’ve been using in between my scrubbing days shortly, so stay tuned and stay lovely pretty girls!

Welcome to Lovely Pretty Girl.
This is the first official post and I have plenty more lined up, so stay tuned.

I have a thing for Benefit Cosmetics. There. I said it. I own A LOT of their products and their blushers are just amazing! This is one of the ones I purchased recently and it’s a firm favourite of mine so I wanted to share it!

Hervana is a perfectly concocted face powder - you can use it for brightening up the whole face by dusting it lightly over your temples, cheeks, nose and chin during the summer months, or you can focus it purely on your cheeks for a lovely soft girly glow. It’s around £23.50, which is a high price to pay for a blusher but I can honestly say this will last you a long time. A little goes a long way!

There are 4 shades of lucky shell, devine peach, heavenly rose & berry delight and when swirled together they make the perfect blend for pale skin and tanned alike.

Enjoy!
